Write Your Private Note
Type your note, set a password, and click 'Encrypt'. Copy the encrypted text and save it anywhere. To read it, paste the encrypted text back and use the same password to decrypt.
What is a Secure Note?
This tool turns your plaintext note into unreadable ciphertext using strong AES encryption. The only way to turn the ciphertext back into your original note is by providing the exact same password you used to encrypt it.
This allows you to store sensitive information (like API keys, personal thoughts, or config data) in "unsafe" places (like your email drafts, a public gist, or a simple text file) with confidence. As long as your password is strong, the note is secure.
Is This Tool Safe to Use?
Yes. All encryption and decryption happen *only* in your browser using the standard `CryptoJS` library. Your password and your note's contents are never sent to our servers, logged, or stored. It's 100% private. You can disconnect from the internet after loading the page, and it will still work.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I forgot my password. Can I recover my note?
No. Your password is the *only* key that can unlock the note. We do not have it, and it cannot be recovered. This is what makes the tool secure. Always use a password you can remember or store it safely in a password manager.
How strong should my password be?
The security of your note depends entirely on the strength of your password. We recommend using a long, random password generated by our Password Generator.
